Description:

  • A simple to use, seal and restraint coupling with “push on” gaskets designed to restrain a pipe joint while
    ensuring tight sealing.

Application:

  • Connections for IPS to Steel pipe in 1″-12″; and Ductile Iron to IPS PE, PVC or Steel pipe. Minimum SDR 21. IPS-IPS-4-8″; IPS-DIPS-4-8″; DIPS-DIPS-4-8″

  • SLEEVE: Steel ASTM 513 or Carbon Steel having a minimum yield of 30,000 PSI
  • FOLLOWERS: Steel, hot rolled – AISI C-1008 to 1010-ASTM-569 or Ductile Iron per ASTM A 536
  • GASKETS: SBR or Nitrile (Buna N). Resistance to Carbon Dioxide, Water, U.V., Ozone Water
  • GRIPPING BAND: IPS and DI: Steel-AISI C-1010 ERW-ASTM A 513
  • PRESSURE RING: IPS and DI: Hot Rolled-AISI C-1010-ASTM A 569
  • BOLTS & NUTS: High strength, low alloy Steel, with heavy semi-finished hexagon nuts to AWWA C-111 (ANSI-A21.11) standards
  • FINISH: Flexi-Coat®, Fusion-Bonded epoxy per AWWA C213

Pipe Applications

  • Restrains rigid pipe to polyethylene and PVC pipe

Pressure Rating

  • 200 PSI for PE, 235 PSI for PVC, 300 PSI for Ductile Iron and Steel
    NOTE: A stiffener is required for HDPE pipes, call Smith-Blair engineering department for any questions.
