Pressure Ratings (PSI) for Cam-LocksTM on PVC Pipe

ANSI/AWWA C900 D.I. OD ANSI/AWWA C905 D.I. OD ASTM D2241 IPS/ STEEL OD
DR 14 305 DR 18 235 SDR 17 250
DR 18 235 DR 25 165* SDR 21 200
DR 25 165 SDR 26 160

*ANSI/AWWA C905 DI OD- 30″:150 PSI. 36″:125 PSI.
The pressure rating for a Pipe-Lock will be the smaller of the two pipes when coupling/restraining together pipes with different pressure ratings.

Examples:

  • If joining 24″ DI to 24″ DR18 C905 PVC, the working pressure would be 235 PSI.
  • If joining 8″ DI to 8″ Steel, the working pressure would be 250 PSI.
  • If joining 36″ DR25 C905 PVC to 48″ DI, the working pressure would be 125 PSI.
  • If joining 10″ Steel to 10″ SDR21 PVC pipe, the working pressure would be 200 PSI.
